At the top of a massive step pyramid, Hone discovered a malefic altar of pure obsidian, cracked in two and adorned with a brutal ceremonial knife. Whispers of terrible power convinced him to spill his own blood out upon the altar, and on that fateful day the Blood God was reborn. The sky raine dblood, and the wayward followers of the ancient and terrible deity were raised from their graves, to serve as thralls for all time. So great and terrible was it that Hone fled in terror, stopping only to grab a black sword which was his reward for his service to the Blood God.
At this point the Blood God fades from history for a time. All that has been gathered seems to imply that he was involved in the 3-way power struggle for contol of the Great Forest between the Elves, Nature and itself. However, he was not to be lost forever...
In the 515th Year of the 8th Era (heading towards the 9th, as these things are reckoned) the Temple of the Blood God was again discovered, this time by a group of heroes serving Nature (see Champions of the Light). They battled through zombies and somehow slew the Blood God in the center of his own temple. The world rejoiced, metaphorically as none of them were aware of this triumph of good.
